The Quebec Les Capitales get on top of the Gary SouthShore RailCats early but can't hang on in 3-2 loss

The Quebec Les Capitales built an early edge on Tuesday, but the Gary SouthShore RailCats (25-32) roared back to steal a 3-2 victory at Le Stade Municipal.

While the Quebec Les Capitales led until the seventh inning, the Gary SouthShore RailCats worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Matt Forgatch.

The Quebec Les Capitales couldn't get anything going as long as Chris Allen was pitching. Allen held the Quebec Les Capitales hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Sebastien Boucher reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.

Morgan Coombs got the win, running his season record to 3-5. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Karl Gelinas couldn't get it done on the mound for the Quebec Les Capitales, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
