The St Paul Saints top the Winnipeg Goldeyes behind Cabrera's 2 hits, 4-3

Saturday was a great day for Willie Cabrera, as he hit two home runs to carry the St Paul Saints (24-28) to a 4-3 victory over the Winnipeg Goldeyes (32-21) at Shaw Park.

The Winnipeg Goldeyes were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Winnipeg Goldeyes were ahead until the eighth inning, but the St Paul Saints would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on a solo home run by Cabrera.

Despite the loss, the Winnipeg Goldeyes' Andrew Walker dominated the St Paul Saints' batters, giving up three runs and striking out five.

Chris Odegaard improved to 2-5 on the year by picking up the win for the St Paul Saints. Odegaard struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Kaohi Downing (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
