The Laredo Lemurs get on top of the El Paso Diablos early but can't hang on in 3-2 loss

The Laredo Lemurs (20-25) built an early edge on Friday, but the El Paso Diablos (16-29) roared back to steal a 3-2 victory at Cohen Stadium.

While the Laredo Lemurs led until the sixth inning, the El Paso Diablos worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Jordan Marks.

Patrick Arlis racked up two RBIs on two hits for the El Paso Diablos. He singled in the second and sixth innings.

Reymond Cruz got the win, running his season record to 3-3. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Mark Haynes was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
