The Sioux Falls Pheasants (22-18) jumped out to an early lead on the Gary SouthShore RailCats (16-25) and captured a 10-1 victory on Saturday at Sioux Falls Stadium.

Five runs in the first three innings allowed the Sioux Falls Pheasants to put the game away early.

An RBI double by Cesar Nicolas in the first inning and a solo home run by Cory Morales and a two-run home run by Morales during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Sioux Falls Pheasants.

Morales went a perfect 4-4 at the dish for the Sioux Falls Pheasants.

Mark Michael picked up the win for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. Michael pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk while striking out two.

Kyle Wilson couldn't get it done on the hill for the Gary SouthShore RailCats, taking a loss. He allowed 10 runs in six innings, walked three and struck out one.
