The El Paso Diablos outdone by Mojica and the Laredo Lemurs, 7-3

Jimmy Mojica collected four hits, helping the Laredo Lemurs (16-18) to a 7-3 victory over the El Paso Diablos (7-27) on Saturday at Cohen Stadium.

He singled in the first, fourth, fifth, and seventh innings.

The El Paso Diablos had no answer for Chaz Roe, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The El Paso Diablos managed just one hit off of Roe, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Maikol Gonzalez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the El Paso Diablos. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Chris Chavez recorded his fourth win of the year for the Laredo Lemurs. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Chavez struck out three, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Edgar Garcia ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out none.
