The Winnipeg survive the Fargo-Moorhead rally, escape with 3-2 victory

Story by Narrative Science.

The Fargo-Moorhead (14-19) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Winnipeg (21-12) on Thursday, as the Fargo-Moorhead fell 3-2 at Shaw Park after falling behind by two runs in the fourth inning.

The Fargo-Moorhead scored one run in the fifth on a solo home run by Ryan Delgado. Despite their efforts, the Fargo-Moorhead couldn't get over the hump.

The Fargo-Moorhead couldn't get anything going as long as Brian Beuning was pitching. Beuning held the Fargo-Moorhead hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Tyler Herron was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Winnipeg batters and allowing three runs.

Herron (1-3) took the loss for the Fargo-Moorhead.
