A walk-off double from Jon Townsend brought home the winning run for the St Paul (13-11) in a 7-6 victory over the Fargo-Moorhead (9-15) in 11 innings at Midway Stadium on Monday.
Townsend had a hot bat for the St Paul. Townsend went 2-4 and drove in one. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the eleventh inning.
Ronnie Bourquin reached base four times in the game for the St Paul. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the eleventh inning.
The Fargo-Moorhead had no answer for Reid Mahon, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Mahon held the Fargo-Moorhead hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.
Anthony Claggett recorded his first win of the year for the St Paul. Claggett struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.
Tom Boleska couldn't get it done on the mound for the Fargo-Moorhead, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
