Way allows no runs to lead the Laredo past the Amarillo 8-2

Matt Way held the Amarillo (13-10) scoreless for six innings to boost the Laredo (10-12) to a 8-2 victory.

Way struck out five and allowed four walks and two hits.

The Laredo left no doubt in the outcome with four runs in the eighth.

Javier Brito had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the sixth inning, and homered in the eighth inning.

Jack Spradlin couldn't get it done on the bump for the Amarillo, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

The Laredo were sparked by Ernie Banks Jr. and Brito, who teamed up for seven hits and four RBIs.
