Jackson's single propels the Fargo-Moorhead past the Sioux City, 8-5

The Fargo-Moorhead (6-8) jumped on the Sioux City (5-9) early on their way to an 8-5 win on Friday at Lewis _ Clark Park, scoring five runs in the first inning.

Buddy Sosnoskie was solid at the plate for the Fargo-Moorhead. Sosnoskie went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, seventh, and ninth innings.

Alex Caldera's seven strikeouts were enough to push the Fargo-Moorhead past the Sioux City. Caldera allowed three earned runs on six hits and two walks over seven innings.

Brian Bistagne had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Max Whieldon couldn't get it done on the bump for the Sioux City, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
