Matthew Sommo (0-1) took the loss for the Sioux Falls . He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out four, and allowed four runs.

The lead stayed with the Fargo-Moorhead after the first, when they scored one run on an RBI single by Enrique Cruz.

The Fargo-Moorhead tacked on another two runs in the fifth. The inning got off to a hot start when Nic Jackson singled, bringing home Todd Jennings. That was followed up by a groundout by Cruz that scored Zach Penprase.
