The Grand Prairie get on top of the Kansas City early but can't hang on in 4-3 loss

The Grand Prairie (5-5) built an early edge on Saturday, but the Kansas City (5-5) roared back to steal a 4-3 victory at QuikTrip Park.

The Kansas City took the lead in the seventh inning on an RBI double by Gus Milner.

Brian Grening improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Kansas City . He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out six, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Derrick Miramontes (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.

The Grand Prairie jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first, scoring one run on two hits. The Grand Prairie caught fire after Chris McMurray singled. Then Greg Porter singled, scoring McMurray.

The Kansas City never surrendered the lead after the seventh inning, scoring one run on an RBI double by Milner.
