Mitch Einertson brought home the go-ahead run to give the Wichita (5-3) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Wichita hung on to beat the Gary SouthShore (4-4) 3-1 on Friday.Ryan Khoury to start the eighth. He then went from first to third on a double by Jake Kahaulelio. Finally, Einertson came to the plate with the Wichita trailing by one in the eighth inning, and reached on an error, plating Khoury and Kahaulelio.
Josh Lowey picked up the win for the Wichita . Lowey pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks while striking out five.
