The Carolina Diamonds (15-19) pounded the Chicago Bandits (18-17) on Friday 10-2 at L P Frans Stadium.

The Carolina Diamonds scored three runs in the sixth on a two-run home run by Amanda Kamekona and an error.

Amy Hooks boosted her batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Carolina Diamonds. She homered in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Angel Bunner picked up the win for the Carolina Diamonds. Bunner pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and three walks while striking out three.

Chanda Bell (0-1) took the loss for the Chicago Bandits. She allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out none.
