Ramos helps the Sugar Land Skeeters down the York Revolution 7-2

The Sugar Land Skeeters (55-66) beat the York Revolution (64-56) 7-2 on Monday at Sovereign Bank Stadium behind Dominic Ramos, who had two extra base hits.

He doubled in the first and fifth innings and singled in the third and seventh innings.

The York Revolution couldn't get anything going as long as Saul Rivera was on the mound. Rivera held the York Revolution hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Tim Redding improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Sugar Land Skeeters. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered four hits.

Chris Cody was charged with his thirteenth loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.

The Sugar Land Skeeters were sparked by Ramos and Steve Moss, who teamed up for nine hits and three RBIs.
