Haveman gives the York Revolution late push to beat the Long Island Ducks, 3-2

Brandon Haveman brought home the go-ahead run to give the York Revolution (50-48) the lead in the seventh inning, as the York Revolution hung on to beat the Long Island Ducks (49-48) 3-2 on Saturday.

Chris Nowak to start the seventh. He then went from first to second on a single by Michael Hernandez. Finally, Haveman came to the plate with the York Revolution trailing by one, and singled, plating Nowak.

The York Revolution held off the Long Island Ducks, as the Long Island Ducks were unable to overcome a two-run seventh inning deficit.

The Long Island Ducks scored one run in the ninth on two singles. Despite their efforts, the Long Island Ducks couldn't finish the comeback.

Corey Thurman recorded his eleventh win of the year for the York Revolution. He allowed one run over six innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Bob Zimmermann couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Long Island Ducks, taking a loss. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
