An impressive effort by James Simmons led the Bridgeport Bluefish (40-47) to a 9-6 win over the York Revolution (45-43) on Tuesday at Sovereign Bank Stadium.

Simmons blasted two home runs for the Bridgeport Bluefish. Simmons went 2-3 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Simmons homered in the second and fourth innings.

Chris Nowak rocked the Bridgeport Bluefish with two home runs. Nowak went 2-3 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Nowak homered in the second and fourth innings.

The Bridgeport Bluefish scored three runs in the first inning to build an early lead.

Julio DePaula looked sharp on the mound. DePaula held the York Revolution hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Dan Serafini got the win, running his season record to 4-2. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Corey Thurman couldn't get it done on the mound for the York Revolution, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked two and struck out one.
