Sunday was a great day for Kody Kirkland, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Lancaster Barnstormers (48-25) to a 4-2 victory over the York Revolution (36-37) at Sovereign Bank Stadium in seven innings.
The Lancaster Barnstormers would not relinquish the lead as the York Revolution were unable to weather a three-run second inning deficit.
The York Revolution scored two runs in the sixth on a two-run home run by Chris Nowak. Still, the York Revolution couldn't catch the Lancaster Barnstormers.
Nowak racked up two RBIs on one hit for the York Revolution. He homered in the sixth inning.
Alan Johnson got the win, running his season record to 8-4. He allowed two runs over six innings. Johnson struck out one, walked none and gave up seven hits.
Corey Thurman (8-2) took the loss for the York Revolution. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
