The Pittsfield Suns make the most of 6 hits in 4-2 victory over the North Shore Navigators

The Pittsfield Suns (18-19) and the North Shore Navigators (20-17) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Pittsfield Suns that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-2 win at Wahconah Park.

The fact that the Pittsfield Suns grouped all of their runs into the fourth inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

The Pittsfield Suns would not relinquish the lead as the North Shore Navigators were unable to weather a three-run fourth inning deficit.

The North Shore Navigators scored one run in the sixth on an RBI single by Tony Serino. Despite their efforts, the North Shore Navigators couldn't get over the hump.

Jimmy Ricoy racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Pittsfield Suns. He tripled in the fourth inning.

Matt Gage got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Bobby Dean couldn't get it done on the bump for the North Shore Navigators, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
