The Pittsfield Suns (17-19) and the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (6-30) volleyed the lead five times on Friday, but the Pittsfield Suns came out on top for a 4-2 win on Friday at Wahconah Park.

Ryan Deitrich had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first inning, tripled in the third inning, and homered in the fifth inning.

Matt Coleman picked up the win for the Pittsfield Suns. Coleman allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out four over eight innings of work.

Erik Jacobsen (0-2) took the loss for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
