An impressive effort by Conor Bierfeldt lifted the Torrington Titans (15-14) to an 8-2 win over the Pittsfield Suns (13-17) on Saturday at Wahconah Park.
Bierfeldt hit two home runs for the Torrington Titans. Bierfeldt went 3-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Bierfeldt homered in the sixth and eighth innings.
The Torrington Titans blew out the Pittsfield Suns thanks to 11 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Torrington Titans scored three runs in the sixth on a two-run home run by Bierfeldt and a solo home run by Ryan Plourde.
Bierfeldt helped the Torrington Titans take the lead for good in the sixth inning. With the score tied at two in the sixth inning, Bierfeldt came to the plate and homered, scoring Rich Graef.
