Corey Stump kept the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (12-13) off the board during his seven innings of work and the North Shore Navigators (18-13) beat the Marthas Vineyard Sharks, 5-4.
Stump allowed three hits, one walk and struck out four.
Rob Krentzman pushed the North Shore Navigators ahead, in the tenth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. Andrew Harris singled to start the tenth. He then went from first to second on a stolen base. Finally, Krentzman came to the plate with the score tied at four in the tenth inning, and hit a sacrifice fly, plating Harris.
Aaron Silbar was solid at the plate for the North Shore Navigators. Silbar went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, fifth, and ninth innings.
Miles Landry improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the North Shore Navigators. Landry struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.
Matt Hegarty was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
