The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide hang on against the Pittsfield Suns, 5-4

The Pittsfield Suns (11-16) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (11-13) on Monday, as the Pittsfield Suns fell 5-4 at The Ball Park after falling behind by four runs in the second inning.

The Pittsfield Suns scored on a groundout by Zach Theulen and a groundout by Travis Smith in the sixth inning and an RBI single by Paul Speicher and an RBI single by Speicher in the seventh inning. Unfortunately, the Pittsfield Suns weren't able to take the lead back.

Colin Gay reached base four times in the game for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. He singled in the first and second innings.

Henry Van Zant looked sharp on the mound. Van Zant held the Pittsfield Suns hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Robert Rozzi recorded his second win of the year for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. He allowed two runs over one inning. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Shane Beauchemin was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
