The North Shore Navigators outdone by Bierfeldt and the Torrington Titans, 8-5

Conor Bierfeldt had two extra base hits, helping the Torrington Titans (25-20) to an 8-5 victory over the North Shore Navigators (27-19) on Saturday at Fraser Field.

He doubled in the third and ninth innings.

Travis Landry pitched lights out for the Torrington Titans. Landry held the North Shore Navigators hitless over 3 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.

Brad Elwood was solid at the plate for the North Shore Navigators. Elwood went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.

Miles Landry looked sharp on the mound. Landry held the Torrington Titans hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Adrian Benitez (2-3) took the loss for the North Shore Navigators. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
