The Torrington Titans (10-11) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (9-9), and the Torrington Titans lost 3-1 to the Marthas Vineyard Sharks after falling behind by three runs in the fourth inning.

The Torrington Titans scored one run in the fifth on two singles. Still, the Torrington Titans couldn't draw even.

Nick Lancisi went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks relied on Dan Weigel to eat up innings en route to the win. Weigel allowed one earned run, three hits and no walks while striking out two over seven innings of work.

Jordan Lozzi ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
