Kevin Stenhouse drove in the go-ahead run to give the Seacoast Mavericks (11-9) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Seacoast Mavericks hung on to beat the Torrington Titans (9-9) 2-1 on Monday.Spencer Marentette reached on an error to start the seventh. He then went from first to second on a single by Kyle Bobolts. Finally, Stenhouse came to the plate with the score tied at one in the seventh inning, and hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Marentette.
Donald Hissa picked up the win for the Seacoast Mavericks. Hissa pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks while striking out three.
Kyle Decker got on base three times in the game for the Torrington Titans. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.
