The Nashua Silver Knights make the most of 9 hits in 6-4 victory over the Torrington Titans

The Nashua Silver Knights (15-5) and the Torrington Titans (9-8) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Nashua Silver Knights that eventually took advantage of them in a 6-4 win at Fuessenich Park.

The Nashua Silver Knights would not relinquish the lead as the Torrington Titans were unable to weather a four-run fourth inning deficit.

The Torrington Titans scored on an RBI single by Matt Cianci and a two-run single by Ryan Plourde in the seventh inning and a fielder's choice in the eighth inning. Still, the Torrington Titans couldn't catch the Nashua Silver Knights.

Rays Roman racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Nashua Silver Knights. He singled in the fourth inning and tripled in the eighth inning.

Travis Terrill improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Nashua Silver Knights. He allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings. Terrill struck out five, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Jordan Scheiner (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
