Brett Cahill drove in the go-ahead run to give the North Shore Navigators (27-19) the lead in the eighth inning, as the North Shore Navigators hung on to beat the Nashua Silver Knights (36-11) 6-4 on Sunday.Rob Krentzman singled to start the eighth. He then went from first to second on a single by Alex Markakis. Finally, Cahill came to the plate with the score tied at four in the eighth inning, and singled, plating Krentzman.
Krentzman was solid at the plate for the North Shore Navigators. Krentzman went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the second, fourth, and eighth innings.
Adrian Benitez racked up seven strikeouts in the the North Shore Navigators win. Benitez allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks over five innings.
Chris Shaw had two extra-base hits for the Nashua Silver Knights. He doubled in the sixth inning.
Cole Warren couldn't get it done on the hill for the Nashua Silver Knights, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
