Offenses dominate as the Lexington Hustlers outscore the Stark County Terriers 11-9

Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Lexington Hustlers (16-21) and the Stark County Terriers (21-17), as the two teams put up 20 runs combined in a 11-9 the Lexington Hustlers win.

The two teams combined for 25 hits in the game.

The Lexington Hustlers held off the Stark County Terriers, as the Stark County Terriers were unable to overcome a seven-run fifth inning deficit.

The Stark County Terriers scored on a solo home run by Jason Bagoly and an error in the sixth inning and a double by Anthony Smith, an RBI single by Adam Dennison, an RBI single by Kyle Pollock, , a single by Lee Longo, and a two-run single by Matt LaRocca in the seventh inning. Still, the Stark County Terriers couldn't draw even.

Stephen Hoagland racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Lexington Hustlers. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.

The Stark County Terriers had no answer for Ian Tompkins, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Stark County Terriers managed just one hit off of the the Lexington Hustlers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

John Birkbeck ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
