The Richmond RiverRats (32-24) pounded the West Virginia Miners (38-18) on Saturday 12-4 at Linda K. Epling Stadium.

The Richmond RiverRats scored five runs in the sixth on , a double by Nolan Earley, a single by Cody Campbell, a single by Derek Trovillion, and a single by Jordan Fortner.

Justin Pearson had three extra-base hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He homered in the first inning, tripled in the third inning, and doubled in the sixth inning.

The Richmond RiverRats relied on Alexander Sroka to eat up innings en route to the win. Sroka pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out five.

Trey Drewery did his best to jumpstart the offense for the West Virginia Miners, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the eighth inning.
