Tuesday was a great day for Lance Sheets, as Sheets tossed a shutout to carry the Richmond RiverRats (9-10) to a 7-0 victory over the Slippery Rock Sliders (5-13) at Jack Critchfield Park.

The Richmond RiverRats' Sheets kept the Slippery Rock Sliders off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on three hits while striking out six.

The Richmond RiverRats turned the win into a rout with three runs in the eighth.

Nolan Earley got on base four times in the game for the Richmond RiverRats. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Brent Roerhich (0-1) took the loss for the Slippery Rock Sliders. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
