The Richmond RiverRats survive the Slippery Rock Sliders rally, escape with 6-5 victory

The Slippery Rock Sliders (11-25) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Richmond RiverRats (20-16) on Sunday, as the Slippery Rock Sliders fell 6-5 at McBride Stadium after falling behind by four runs in the fourth inning.

The Slippery Rock Sliders scored three runs in the eighth on a two-run home run by Radley Haddad and a sacrifice fly by Zach Looney. Despite their efforts, the Slippery Rock Sliders couldn't get over the hump.

Cody Campbell racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fourth inning.

Chris Miller pitched lights out for the Richmond RiverRats. Miller held the Slippery Rock Sliders hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Haddad racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Slippery Rock Sliders. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Alexander Sroka recorded his third win of the year for the Richmond RiverRats. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out none, walked three and surrendered six hits.

Max Deering (2-2) took the loss for the Slippery Rock Sliders. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out two.
