Justin Pearson went 4-4 at the plate, sparking the Richmond RiverRats (6-9) to an 8-3 victory over the Slippery Rock Sliders (5-9) on Thursday at McBride Stadium.

He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second, seventh, and eighth innings.

Kyle Tibbs picked up the win for the Richmond RiverRats. Tibbs allowed three earned runs, eight hits and three walks while striking out five over eight innings of work.

Ryan Abernathy racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Slippery Rock Sliders. He singled in the fourth innings and homered in the sixth inning.

Daniel Harms (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out none.
