The Richmond RiverRats get on top of the Lorain County Ironmen early but can't hang on in 5-3 loss

The Richmond RiverRats (1-3) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 5-3 ballgame against the Lorain County Ironmen (2-1) on Tuesday at McBride Stadium.

While the Richmond RiverRats led until the tenth inning, the Lorain County Ironmen worked their way back and took the lead on an error.

Dan Poskocil had an impressive outing against the Richmond RiverRats' lineup. Poskocil gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Zack Speer got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Chris Miller (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
