Patrick Van Daalwyk kept the Lorain County Ironmen (15-39) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Richmond RiverRats (29-23) beat the Lorain County Ironmen, 5-3.

Van Daalwyk struck out five and allowed two walks and six hits.

The Richmond RiverRats got their bats going early, scoring three runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Lorain County Ironmen.

The Richmond RiverRats held off the Lorain County Ironmen, as the Lorain County Ironmen were unable to overcome a five-run sixth inning deficit.

The Lorain County Ironmen scored three runs in the ninth on an RBI single by Cody Koch and a two-run triple by Nolan Neuschaefer. Despite their efforts, the Lorain County Ironmen couldn't finish the comeback.

Mattius DeDoes couldn't get it done on the hill for the Lorain County Ironmen, taking a loss. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
