Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Tuesday as the Lorain County Ironmen (15-38) outscored the Richmond RiverRats (28-23) 16-9.

The teams totaled 28 hits in the game.

The Lorain County Ironmen blew out the Richmond RiverRats thanks to 15 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Lorain County Ironmen scored five runs in the first on a double by Cody Koch, a two-run double by Sam Alvis, , , and a fielder's choice.

Koch had three extra-base hits for the Lorain County Ironmen.

Spencer Bryant got his first win for the Lorain County Ironmen despite allowing five runs over five innings. Bryant struck out three, walked two and gave up five hits.

Nicholas Smith was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked seven and struck out none.
