The Lorain County Ironmen make the most of 8 hits in 6-5 victory over the Richmond RiverRats

The Lorain County Ironmen (5-7) and the Richmond RiverRats (5-8) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Lorain County Ironmen capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 6-5 win at The Pipe Yard.

The Lorain County Ironmen would not relinquish the lead as the Richmond RiverRats were unable to weather a three-run third inning deficit.

The Richmond RiverRats scored on a two-run home run by Nolan Earley in the sixth inning, an RBI single by Raymond Delvalle in the seventh inning, and an RBI single by Earley in the ninth inning. Unfortunately, the Richmond RiverRats weren't able to take the lead back.

Nathan Antone racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Lorain County Ironmen. He homered in the first inning.

Eric Knight picked up the win for the Lorain County Ironmen. Knight allowed three earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Lance Sheets (0-2) took the loss for the Richmond RiverRats. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked three and struck out 10.
