The Hannibal Cavemen (31-29) took down the Quincy Gems (34-26) 14-6 on Monday at Clemens Field after slamming the Quincy Gems with nine runs in the first inning.

Zach Nichols racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Hannibal Cavemen. He doubled in the first innings and singled in the third and fifth innings.

AJ Martin brought the heat against the Quincy Gems during his outing. Martin held the Quincy Gems hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Dylan Terrell recorded his sixth win of the year for the Hannibal Cavemen. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Charlie Kapala (5-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in one-third of an inning, walked one and struck out none.
