The Cotuit Kettleers escape the Hyannis Harbor Hawks behind Isaacs' 9 strikeouts, 6-3

An ace performance by Dusty Isaacs led the Cotuit Kettleers (22-12) to a 6-3 win in 14 innings over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (14-21) on Friday at McKeon Park.

Isaacs handled the Hyannis Harbor Hawks' lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. The Cotuit Kettleers' pitcher gave up just two hits over six shutout innings.

Cael Brockmeyer pushed the Cotuit Kettleers ahead, in the fourteenth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. With the score tied at three, Brockmeyer came to the plate and singled, scoring Jacob Valdez.

Tim Mayza got the win, running his season record to 1-1. Mayza struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.

Gage Smith was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
