The Bourne Braves (10-19) trailed by three in the seventh, but the Bourne Braves recovered thanks to a key single in the first inning from Drew Dosch to pull out a 5-4 win over the Falmouth Commodores (14-16) at Arnie Allen Diamond on Friday.
With the game scoreless in the first inning Dosch came to the plate and singled, scoring Casey Turgeon.
Dosch was hot from the plate for the Falmouth Commodores. Dosch went 2-5 and drove in one. He singled in the first and seventh innings.
Trent Gilbert racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Bourne Braves. He homered in the seventh inning.
Hawtin Buchanan improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Bourne Braves. Buchanan struck out one, walked one and gave up no hits.
Kyle Ruchim ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
