Offenses dominate as the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox outscore the Harwich Mariners 16-10

The bats were busy at Whitehouse Field on Monday, and when the dust cleared the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (16-11) had a 16-10 win over the Harwich Mariners (16-11).

The teams totaled 30 hits in the game.

Eight runs in the opening three innings allowed the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox to easily put away the Harwich Mariners. A double by Sam Travis, an error, an error, an error, a groundout by Sean McHugh, an RBI single by Tanner Mathis, and a two-run single by Carlos Asuaje during the second inning fueled the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox's offense early.

Zak Blair got a hit in each of his four at bats. He singled in the second, third, fourth, and ninth innings.

Jonny Hoffman got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He allowed three runs over 2 2/3 innings. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered six hits.

Brandon Woodruff (2-2) took the loss for the Harwich Mariners. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked one and struck out one.
