Katz leads the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox to 12-7 win over the Harwich Mariners

Mason Katz clubbed two home runs to carry the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (14-11) to a 12-7 win over the Harwich Mariners (16-9) at Red Wilson Field.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. A hit by pitch scored Carlos Asuaje and gave the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox the lead for good.

Rick Knapp brought the heat against the Harwich Mariners during his outing. The Harwich Mariners managed just three hits off of Knapp, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Jacoby Jones put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Harwich Mariners. He tripled in the first inning and doubled in the third inning.
