Sunday was a great day for Mason Robbins, as he hit two home runs to carry the Bourne Braves (6-15) to a 9-2 victory over the Falmouth Commodores (12-9) at Doran Park.
The Bourne Braves blew out the Falmouth Commodores thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. A two-run single by Aaron Payne delivered the runs in the sixth. The Bourne Braves had three hits in the inning.
Jaron Long's six strikeouts were enough to push the Bourne Braves past the Falmouth Commodores. Long allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk over six innings.
Jared King was hot from the plate for the Falmouth Commodores. King went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the ninth inning.
Benjamin Ballantine (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked one and struck out five.
