Austin Wilson collected three hits as the Harwich Mariners (13-5) took home a 4-0 victory over the Orleans Firebirds (13-5) at Whitehouse Field on Thursday.
He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth and eighth innings.AJ Reed's seven strikeouts were enough to push the Harwich Mariners past the Orleans Firebirds. The Harwich Mariners' pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.
Austin Kubitza (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
