The Brewster Whitecaps (7-10) blew out the Harwich Mariners (12-5) 19-1 on Wednesday at Whitehouse Field after pouring on 11 runs in the seventh inning.
Ryon Healy racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Brewster Whitecaps. He singled in the second and fifth innings and homered in the seventh inning.
The Harwich Mariners had no answer for Austin Voth, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Voth held the Harwich Mariners hitless over five innings, allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out six.
Brandon Woodruff ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
The Brewster Whitecaps easily handled the Harwich Mariners pitching as six hitters combined for 16 hits, 14 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
