The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (10-8) and the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (5-13) volleyed the lead four times on Wednesday, but the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox came out on top for a 9-7 win on Wednesday at Red Wilson Field.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox finally managed to grab the lead after a strong eighth inning. A sacrifice fly by Carlos Asuaje scored Wayne Taylor and gave the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox the lead for good.

Alex Blandino racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He singled in the seventh inning.

Brandon Trinkwon racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He homered in the second inning.

Brian Gilbert improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. Gilbert struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Andrew Smithmyer was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
