Wednesday was a great day for Colin Moran, as he hit two home runs to carry the Bourne Braves (4-13) to an 11-6 victory over the Wareham Gatemen (9-8) at Doran Park.
Moran racked up seven RBIs on three hits for the Bourne Braves. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the third and eighth innings.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.
Brandon Moore had an impressive outing against the Wareham Gatemen's lineup. Moore held the Wareham Gatemen hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one.
A bright spot for the Wareham Gatemen in the defeat was Nicholas Rumbelow, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.
Tyler Skulina improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bourne Braves. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered nine hits.
Brad Kuntz (1-1) took the loss for the Wareham Gatemen. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
