The Harwich Mariners hang on against the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox, 4-3

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (5-6) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Harwich Mariners (9-2) on Wednesday, as the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox fell 4-3 at Red Wilson Field after falling behind by three runs in the sixth inning.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox scored two runs in the seventh on a groundout by Tanner Mathis and an RBI single by Justin Shafer. Still, the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox couldn't draw even.

CK Irby racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Harwich Mariners. He homered in the fifth inning.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox's lineup had no answer for Aaron Nola. The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox managed just three hits off of the the Harwich Mariners' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during his six innings of work.
