A great effort by Cameron Roth led the Schaumburg Boomers (40-26) to an 11-0 win over the Rockford RiverHawks on Monday at RiverHawks Stadium.
Roth kept the Rockford RiverHawks (30-36) off the board during his eight innings of work. Roth allowed four hits, one walk and struck out four.
The Schaumburg Boomers continued to pile on the runs until the end of the game. The Schaumburg Boomers scored three runs in the final three innings to cap the blowout win. A two-run double by Frank Pfister and a two-run home run by Steve McQuail helped the Schaumburg Boomers score four runs in the sixth. The Schaumburg Boomers had four hits in the inning.
Jereme Milons racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He homered in the second inning and singled in the ninth inning.
Kyle Schepel (3-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
