Tyler Watkins kept the Normal CornBelters (14-23) off the board during his eight innings of work and the Schaumburg Boomers (25-14) beat the Normal CornBelters, 8-0.

Watkins struck out four and allowed one walk and seven hits.

The Schaumburg Boomers blew out the Normal CornBelters thanks to 16 hits, including zero extra base hits. A two-run single by Sean Mahley delivered the runs in the sixth. The Schaumburg Boomers had three hits in the inning.

Mahley racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Schaumburg Boomers.

Jacob Liedka couldn't get it done on the bump for the Normal CornBelters, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked none and struck out seven.
