The Lake Erie Crushers (17-20) beat the River City Rascals (22-15) 7-1 on Wednesday at All Pro Freight Stadium after a four-run explosion in the third inning.

Adrian Ortiz racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lake Erie Crushers. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the third inning.

Paul Fagan picked up the win for the Lake Erie Crushers. Fagan allowed no earned runs, eight hits and four walks while striking out five over nine innings of work.

Preston Vancil was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out four.
